FAO Project Common Oceans: Global sustainable fisheries management and biodiversity conservation in ABNJ
This GEF project, signed in 2011 (GEF) involves FAO, (coordinating agency) as well as UNEP and the World Bank (as partner implementing agencies) and a number of RFMOs, industry and NGO partners. FEG has been invited to be a partner in this project and both Serge Garcia and Jake Rice participated in the Workshop on “Linking Global and Regional Levels in the Management of Marine Areas Beyond National Jurisdiction” held in Rome at the FAO HQS 17-20 February. Serge Garcia was included in one of the panels.
