Follow-up work on fisheries and conservation governance

Following the official launching of the Book in 2014 and its presentation also during the CBD-COP (In Pyeong Chang, Korea) and the World Parks Congress (in Sydney, Australia), reactions indicate a high demand for debate on governance. As a consequence, EBCD/FEG used all opportunities available this year to promote discussions on converging governance. Specifically, FEG presented and debated the book in the following events:

• The BBNJ Ad hoc Working Group meeting in New York January 2015 by Jake Rice (see outcomes of the meeting here)
• At the European Parliament and policy-makers  in July 2015 by Serge Garcia
• A presentation to Europeche, Brussels, February 2015 by serge Garcia as well as the “Comité National des Pêche” in Paris.
